What Did You Do Today?
Some days I look around the house after the kids go to bed and wonder if anything got done today. As I look at the toy strewn floor, the sink full of dishes and the fingerprint covered walls and windows, I know. We defeated the Polar Bear clan that was invading our house, we squished all of the spiders in the house, and scared all of the monsters back outside. No, they may not know their ABC's any better today than yesterday, they may not have been fed all organic meals or learned to play a new instrument. My to-do list is just as long as yesterday, my craft projects remain incomplete and the laundry still waiting to be folded. I may get looks when Kaelyn is still in her pajamas while we drop William off at school, or when William's clothes clash like on What Not To Wear but we were busy spending our mornings saving ducks and blowing bubbles. They may not be the smartest or most talented, but they will have some of the best memories growing up. Trying to touch the clouds as they swing, or hearing their voices echo throughout our stairwell. I don't want my kids to look back at their childhood and think about how busy we all were going from one activity to another. No, they will remember all of the learning we did while playing. William will be a pro at paper airplanes, Kaelyn will be able to swing higher and spin fast than all of her friends. They will look back at their childhood and say "I want my kids to have one just like that".

Domäne
William is in a summer program where he goes to school two days a week.
One day they took a trip to a local farm called Domäne.
They have every kind of farm animal, and you can go in anytime to just walk around and look.
William practiced his chicken impression while we were there.
Their favorite part was the donkeys, they got to feed them leaves and William even tried to give one a hug before we moved on.
It was such a great way to spend our morning.
Pool Time
Our downstairs neighbor and I have collected quite an assortment of pools and outside toys for the kids to play with.
We play in the pool a few times a week, inviting all of our friends over to join us.
Sometimes it leads to BBQ's, sometimes just some time for me to read a book, but it is always a good time.
Wiesbaden Zoo
Right in town is a very small zoo, only a few animals butt he most fun was is the deer, sheep and goats that you can pet and feed.
This is the second time we've been there, this time with some friends. The kids love it, and it certainly wore them out.
Tecnik Museum
After stopping at the Emperors observatory we headed to the Tecnik museum.
Planes, trains, cars, everything with a motor was featured here.
The kids learned how a train use to work, got to climb into airplanes, boats, subs and rocket ships.
There was a huge slide coming down from the biggest airplane. William naturally wanted to go so we made the trip down and had a blast.
Kaelyn of course found the rocks, puddles and made a new friend.
We hit the park for a few minutes before leaving, grabbed some ice cream and headed back home.

Emperors Observatory
While we were headed to a museum one day we saw this really cool building just down the road so we decided to make a little detour and check it out.
Turns out it was the Emperors observatory that is now used as we think, a Catholic church.
The architecture was incredible with amazing etchings and art all around the walls.
As you looked down all of the streets, there were beautiful building everywhere.
Nick and I plan to go back for a night without the kids to bike around town and do a little exploring.
It was a fun little stop for the day, letting the kids run around and seeing another awe inspiring structure.
