After spending 24 hours on a bus, and plans changing multiple times Nick finally arrived at Fort Belvoir in Virginia Saturday afternoon.
He is already amazed at how different things are there compared to Basic at Fort Leonard Wood.
It is a civilian base, so they are extremely laid back.
For now he gets his phone every weekend, and after 30 days he can take two test to get his phone and lab top every day after classes.
He will be getting a pass most weekends once he starts class, and being so close to the beach and only 13 miles from DC, he will have plenty to do.
We still aren't sure when he will be done, a round of classes starts on the 13th, and one more two weeks after that. Keep your fingers crossed that he gets into one of the two. If he doesn't make it into either of those, he will have to move back to Fort Leonard Wood where they are moving this training to. To far for me to drive just for a weekend!
Today is his birthday, and I think I'm having a harder time having him away today than he is.
He is such an amazing man, and sacrificing so much for our family, I honestly couldn't ask for a better husband and father for our son.
If you would like to send him a letter (even though he has his phone now, he still loves getting letters and pictures) the address is:
PV2 Pullan Nickolas
9425 Stimon Rd.
Fort Belvior, VA 22060
