Watching the Sun Rise

While Nick was on vacation, I would take the mornings to go biking.

It's been so fun exploring our new home in such a unique way.

Lochmuele

Not too far from our house is a great amusement park geared towards small kids.

They have an indoor area for rainy days filled with slides, trampolines, a carousal and so much more.

They had so many rides, cars that ride on a lifted track around the park (you peddle them yourself, and I was actually a little scared, I have to be honest.)

They have a fun petting zoo that Kaelyn absolutely loved.

We had such a great day, but had to cut it off early to get to an appointment at William's school. This is somewhere we will definitely be going back to.

Happy Birthday Sister Lymann!

We got the privilege of celebrating one of the sister missionaries birthdays with her.

We have them over at least once a week, so this was a special treat for us and of course, William will never turn down cake, especially if blowing out the candles is included.

Sun in The Fun Day

One of the very first things we did when we moved here was go to an MWR event.

It was a lot of fun to go again this year and to think back to how different the kids were last time.

We got there early this year so we got to eat some super yummy food and do everything the kids wanted to do before it got to its busiest point.

They both wanted to get their faces painted, Kaelyn picked a skeleton but Nick talked her into a lion instead.

William really wanted Spiderman, it wasn't on the list of "approved" items, but we figured since he was on William's shoes, plus, it's Spiderman, that the lady could do it.

Kaelyn turned out super cute! William not so much... He liked it though, and that is what really matters.

It was a great afternoon, ended with cake. The way every good afternoon should.

Org Day

Nick's unit had a big BBQ one day for all of the families with tons of food and lots of games

The kids did an egg race, William and Kaelyn didn't really know what was going on

Kaelyn got so mad one round that her egg fell off she threw herself on the ground and ended up laying on an ant hill.

Next we had a water balloon fight. That was the activity that we were in charge of and it was kind of sad that over an hour of work was gone in a matter of minutes.

We had some eggs left over so we included those, and after Nick missed me a couple of times, so I grabbed a hand full of eggs, and  nailed him in the head and all over his back. Payback for shoving cake up my nose at our wedding!

Accidental Fun

We were in Frankfurt one day and looking for a children's fair going on.

We never found it, but we found another one instead.

It was a hot day, and we had to walk about 6 blocks just to get down to the river so naturally the first thing we did was get some ice cream.

We couldn't stay long, but we had a good hour people watching, throwing things into the river and getting balloons.

Community Festival

There was a fair set up to celebrate the friendship between Germany and America and family happened to fall on Kaelyn's birthday so we decided it was the perfect thing to do!

The rides were all $1, so we let the kids do whatever they wanted.

Kaelyn said she wanted to ride the swing till the ride next to it really scared here so she cried and pouted through the entire ride.

William go to go on a giant trampoline, and he had a great time. Kaelyn was too small, the harness wouldn't even fit around her waist so she wasn't able to go.

We had so much fun, got lots of sun and all slept well that night. A perfect way to spend a birthday,
