Christmas Market Season
Nick took a week off so that we could do some traveling and go to a bunch of Christmas markets.
There are probably a hundred in Germany alone and each one has a different mug, a fun way to look back at all of the cities you have to.
Kaelyn ended up getting really sick so we had to come home early but we were able to do the first city then the last two days of our trip, so still lots of good times.
We had a blast, drank way too much kinderpunch and got some great suvioneers.
And of course, lots of great memories to last a lifetime.
All Saints Day
We got to experience some more unique, fun German traditions. We walked to a festival in the next town over and William got to ride the Ferris wheel for the first time ever.
William made a lantern at school and one night they had a big program, the kids sang songs and went through the story of Saint Christopher.
We walked around the block, they had music and horses and food. It was a great evening and although we didn't understand a word of what was being said.
Feeding the Horses
In a little farm area that we like to bike in is a farm with horses, the kids love to stop and look at them every time that we go by.
We decided to bring a little snack one day, and the kids had so much fun feeding and petting them.
They walked most of the way home, it was s nice being out and away from the city for a couple of hours, just hanging out with my kids.
Halloween
Our Halloween fun started with the ward's trunk-or-treat. That morning we broke out the face paint and got some pumpkin faces going on.
Kaelyn was the cutest rag doll ever!
And of course Nick and William were the best set in the whole party!
We waited till the very last minute to get pumpkins so the only things left were these tiny ones, so we broke the paint out.
We had a great year, the kids had a blast, they wore themselves out on Halloween that they started asking to go home. Their buckets were full and their feet were tired. A good night for Halloween.
Soccer Practice
This fall we signed William up for soccer, and he was very excited.
They made sure to stretch before starting practice, and of course Kaelyn wanted to be included as well.
He made quite a few goals, had lots of fun, but by the end of the 40 min practice, he had decided that practicing was hard.
We only managed to make it to two classes, so he isn't going to be playing in the Olympics anytime soon, but he had a good time, and they both got a medal out of it.
