For William's 3rd birthday party, there was only one theme that would do, Curious George! I started planning almost 3 months before the actual party date, making decorations and do as much preparation before hand that I could.
His cake was homemade, and I got so many compliments on it. The top layer was a rainbow of red blue and yellow, and the bottom layer was rice krispie treat.
The house looked great by the time I was done, we had streamers and paintings guiding the guests all the way to our door. We have had George floating away with his balloons.
Kaelyn even had a birthday outfit made for her, who says the birthday boys sister can't look cute too?
We had nine kids total show up and they all had a blast playing together even though none of them had met before.
He got so many great gifts, lots of Spider man things, roller skates, books puzzles and trucks.
The one activity that I had planned was finger painting for the kids. They each had a canvas that said "Always Curious" and they were supposed to put their hand prints on it, most just covered theirs in paint.
William had a blast, and that is really what matters. Thank you to everyone who sent him a gift, he has loved every one of them.
Before the party guests went home, they were given a book and some banana shaped candy. Guests were asked to bring a book to be donated to a childrens' hospital and since William loves to read, so I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate his birthday.
