Painting in the Bath

The kids had been really good lately and so when I found bath paint on clearance one day, I grabbed it and planned for a bath that night!

They loved being able to color everywhere, making the water red a sparkly, along with each other. It did require an extra bath to wash all of paint off, but it was totally worth it.

How to Potty Train a Tiger

We really wanted William potty trained before we went to Germany, and since we don't have much more time, the moment we were all done with our strep throat, I got on it. After doing some talking and contemplating we decided that it would be best to "potty train" his best friends, George and Tiger and just let William sit back and watch.

It was a fun day, and very interesting. He was super excited to help and was so happy when they "went potty", our progress got interrupted by girls camp preparations, then the actual camp but hopefully soon we will be down to one in diapers!

Father's Day

Father's Day was so relaxing in our house. William entertained himself most of the day, and Kaelyn slept it away. During bath time, I was making a little sign, and William wanted to help so they got to color in the bath. That was, until he started eating the markers.

We have the most amazing fathers, and the kids have the most amazing grandfathers in the world. You are such great examples to the two of us, and so patient, loving and caring towards the kids. We are going to miss you so much, but we will always love and appreciate you.

Family Time

The last couple of days were just spent together with my Brother and Sister in law, their two boys, my Grandma and my Aunt and Uncle.

It was so much fun to walk the four kids playing together, William and Franklin got along fantastic and spent the time chasing each other around.

Sticking with tradition, Grandpa fed Kaelyn her first taste of ice cream.

On the last day there, I woke up to find that William had decided to paint my Dad's office, where his makeshift room was. Two hours of scrubbing and carpet cleaning later, most of it was out :)
We had so much fun in Utah, it was so nice to see everyone, and for the kids to get to know everyone better. It was really hard to leave, especially knowing that we will be gone for so long this time. Thank you everyone for such a wonderful time.

Sprinkle Park

One day we went with my parents to the sprinkle park at the Gateway mall

Kaelyn was so excited, she just loves the water.

William took a little convincing, and actually never went out on his own.

After Kaelyn got her fill of playing in, she snuggles in a towel with Grandpa.

On our way out William spotted a train, and we couldn't leave until the train was done going by. He had never seen one in real life before and was fascinated.

Afterwards we went to Leatherbee's and enjoyed some super yummy ice cream.

Early Father's Day

For Father's day Nick and his brothers all got together to get their Dad a new 22 since he had given all of his guns away. We snuck it Utah in our other gun case they were keeping for us while in Germany and he had no idea.

It was so great to see his face light up when he opened it and we were so happy that we could be there to share that moment with him. Even better, Nick got to explain everything to him in person.

Fish Are Our Friends, Not Food

The new aquarium they opened in Draper had just opened only a couple of months before we went to Utah, so we were very excited to go see it. Nick's mom took us, and we had a blast.

William loved everything about it, and was always curious about each and every tank.

My favorite part of the shark tank of course, they built it so that you would walk through a tunnel with the sharks and other fish swimming around you.

In the Amazon room, they have a rope bridge you could walk across, and Nick was so excited to take William on it.

He was a little sceptical at first, but he was so proud of himself for making it all of the way across almost all by himself.

Who Doesn't Love a Wedding

One of the main reasons we went out to Utah, especially when we did, was because Nick's brother Ty was getting married to his sweet girlfriend Whitney.

We all got dressed up in our western outfits, boots and all. It was a very unique country style wedding. After a couple of very crazy days, it was all set and turned out beautiful.

Whitney looked wonderful, as did Ty, they were so happy and it was such a great night.
A crazy end to such a memorable day, I missed the turn to the freeway and ended up driving 45 minutes in the wrong direction (towards nothing) before realizing I needed to turn around and getting help. The kids finally got to bed, and after a quick run, I felt much better, ready for another fun filled day,

Backyard Fun

The day we were in Utah Jaime and I went out to get our nails done so the boys spent the afternoon playing in the backyard.

William seemed to have a blast spraying everyone with the hose.

Jonathon and Kaleb loved playing with the kids and were always willing to entertain William.

Everyone got their fair share of water.

Home Made Gifts

For Mother's Day the kids painted pictures that I turned into flowers for everyone.

This was Kaelyn's first time painting and after I showed her what to do with it, she loved it!

William as always ate more than he painted with a think.

A hard day of painting always deserves a good snack.

Rain, Rain, Go Away

It rains a lot here, especially in the Spring. We have learned to embrace it however.

William loves to go out and play using his umbrella, you can't keep that boy inside.
