Little Cleaner

I have the best helping in the world. William has always loved helping me around the house and vacuuming is his new thing.
He spilled popcorn so we pulled the vacuum out and he was more than happy to clean it up for me.

Return of the Sun

After four more days of rain and snow, the sun finally came out and started melting everything.

It is hard to see in the pictures but it looked like someone had gone out and thrown glitter all over our trees.

It was fun for a while, we I am glad it is finally starting to melt.

Ice Storm #2

After a couple of days of snow we got word that a very big ice storm was heading our way.
Starting at 4:00 pm we started getting freezing rain, while I was working hard getting ready for the real possibility of loosing power for anywhere from hours to days.

Luckily, we did not lose power. So, once Kaelyn fell asleep William and I went out to play and take pictures.

Everything had a coating of ice, although freezing and very slippery, it was beautiful.

We went to play in our mini forest which was like a winter wonder land.

We actually ended up getting locked out of the house, but thanks to the fact that our house is for sale, we were finally able to get in. An adventurous start to our day!

Painting

William has always loved to paint. He got water colors and coloring books for Christmas so we broke them out one day when I needed to keep him busy.

He had a lot of fun, it was like magic to him.

I couldn't keep him from eating it however. It's a good thing it is non-toxic!

Kaelyn's Blessing

We waited till Nick got home to bless Kaelyn, she was older than what is typical, but totally worth it in my opinion.

Nick was pretty nervous since this was his first time but it was a beautiful blessing.

Mike and Jaime were so sweet and bought Kaelyn's dress for her and she looked absolutely gorgeous!

Sledding

We got a decent sized snow storm (finally!) so William and I got all bundled up and headed out to try some sledding.

William loves being outside, and the snow just brings all sorts of new adventures.

William loved sledding, over the course of the week, we ended up breaking our sled into three pieces!

No One Plays Quite Like Dad

Moms are usually the ones who teach and play at the same time. Animals and the sounds they make, colors and shapes.
Then, there are dads. Dads are the ones who play in the most unexpected ways.

It is so fun to watch them, because they are usually doing things I would have never thought of doing.

And other times, Dad's style may not be what they had in mind...
