Haave you met Monkey?

William was givin this super soft monkey for Valentines and it has become one of his favorite toys.
Where ever William is, Monkey is right there with him, or at least close by.

They have an agreement that William can yell at him, throw him, and suck on his face.
As long as Monkey is there when he needs him.
He hasn't quite gotton attatched to him, but you can be sure that as soon as Valentines comes next year, I will be looking for another one. Just in case.

Family talent

We have lots of good memories of sitting at the dinner table, with spoons hanging from our noses. I am pleased to announce that William has the same talent, even with his little nose.

Louiville Sluggers

Monday we went into Louisville and went to the Louisville Slugger Museum and factory.
Outside they have a huge four story bat.
We got to go through the factory and watch the whole process of the 280,000 bats they make every year, most only taking about 20 seconds. We learned more about baseball, and bats in those two hours then I have learned in all of my life!
William even got his own little mini bat, maybe he will grow up to be a baseball star.
Once we were all done he was so tuckered out, he couldn't even stay awake on the way back to the car.

Father's Day

Me being me, growing up in the family I did, and it being Nick's first Father's Day, I may have gone a little over board. My parents got here a couple of days before, so we got to share the special day with them.

That morning I made a big breakfast, waffles, eggs and bacon, every one's favorite.

Before we went to church, we opened up all the presents, and naturally William was more than willing to help unwrap all of them, and even test them all out before we moved onto the next one.

The biggest (and most exciting) was a new BBQ. Nick has been waiting a long time for this, and even though he knew what it was, it was still fun.

It was great watching them put it together, finding all of the little pieces and matching everything together.

We put it to good use and made a great dinner of hamburgers. He even got his favorite cake for dessert!
I am so glad to have Nick as my husband and William's Father, we couldn't ask for a better man in our lives. We both love him so much, and are very grateful for everything that he does for us. We love you Nick.

Sleep wiggler

William's love for moving has not been contained by the fact that he is asleep. Ever since he has started learning how to master this rolling over thing, he has adopted the position of sleeping on his side. One of these we are going to wake up to him screaming because he figured out how to get over his arm, but can't get to his back again from his tummy.
I love going in there to see where he has moved to, what position he has taken for the night and then coming back in the morning to see what side he is on then!
He has moved to opposite ends of the crib, done a 180 degree turn, then gone the full 360 by the time morning comes. Even though things will get crazy here, I can't wait till he is crawling. He loves to be moving, and a very curious little boy. He is one that was never meant to be contained.

Memorial Weekend

Memorial weekend was great, not only did Nick have Friday and Monday off, but Cathy came up to see us on Thursday night. It was so nice to see her, after so long. She finally got to meet William, and he wasted no time in making her feel right at home.

Friday we drove up to Louisville and went to Church Hill Downs to the Kentucky Derby Museum.
We learned a lot of interesting things, and even got to go out on the track.
William even got to ride on a horse.

Although my favorite part was the room filled with hats!

Monday we went with some of Nick's friends from work up past Cincinnati to King's Island. We spent the morning in the water park and the afternoon riding the coasters. Even though we had to take William we still had a lot of fun. He was so good all day and the other wives had no problem watching him so we could go on some of the rides.
It was such a great weekend, we were more worn out then when it started though!

May I have some more please?

We just started giving William rice cereal the other day, figuring he is at the perfect age, and always seems to be hungry! Naturally, the first time more ended up on his face, hands and bib then in his mouth, but he still loved it.
