Finally settled

As you can imagine we have been crazy busy getting everything unpacked, put away and just getting settled in our new home.

We are really enjoying it here, and loving all of the space we have.

When you walk in the front door there is the living room and dining area with a good size kitchen behind the wall.

On one end of the house is a large family room.
The other end has the bedrooms, we even have an extra room so I can finally have a craft room to keep all of my mess in.

Then we have William's room, which is my favorite.

I spent many months collections  things and planning out how I wanted to decorate. I even found someone who would make me Raggedy Ann and Andy wall decals.

We have a huge back yard with four giant trees. Nick hung up a clothes line for me and I love doing the laundry outside watching the two bunnies that hang around our house and eat all of our dandelions.
The weather is fantastic here, it's been pretty warm, but not uncomfortably so far and not very humid. We love how green it is and all of the rolling hills, it seems to be a great mixture of Utah and Massachusetts. The only complaint is the bugs. There are bugs everywhere, but it doesn't get cold enough in the winter to kill them so they get pretty big.

Easter

I know I'm a few days late, but here are William's Easter pictures.

We had a quiet day at home, it was strange to not be with any family, but this is just the first holiday of many. It will give us a great chance to make our own memories and traditions though.

Learning to Laugh

While changing William today I was making faces and noises trying to keep him happy, I kissed his tummy and he broke out in a huge smile so I gave him a raspberry and he broke into the biggest laugh, this went on for two or three minutes, just laughing up a storm.

Moving Road Trip

Thursday afternoon we got on our way to Kentucky. We had great weather almost the whole way there and William was great. We stopped in New York  City on our way through, and spent two hours driving around lost for two hours. We tried to find Central Park, but it wasn't showing up on the GPS. We went over the Brooklyn Bridge and saw the Hudson River, which was beautiful.
It was great to see another portion of the country, meeting the people and laughing at all of the funny names they used for cities and countys.
We got to Fort Knox late Friday afternoon. We found our house, only to find that the water and electricity wont be on until Monday. So, we went and found a hotel to stay in for the weekend.
We can't wait to get into the house and make it our own. After driving around post and looking at the housing we are eligable for, we have decided to stay in this house till he gets re-stationed. It's going to take some work, the last renters had very interesting taste that we'll have to cover up but with a little time and work it will be perfect for us.
